About Us

Hi. I'm Katie.
I make Glitori ✨

What is a Glitoris?

A Glitoris is a glitter-full, anatomically-accurate, handmade, clitoris model.
That is also a fridge Magnet⚡️soon to be keychain...👀

Why Do I Make Them?

Because the world has a Glitoris-shaped knowledge gap and I intend to fill it...
Was that pun intended...? 😉

On Whose Authority?

The Glitorati.

Who Am I?

I'm an anatomist and business owner.
I'm also just a regular human being with big dreams.
I'm passionate about people getting good and accurate information, knowing their bodies and being their authentic selves.
I love anatomy. I love teaching.
And I'm done waiting for someone else to correct this issue.

What's my Background?

I have a masters degree in human anatomy from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). I have been teaching medical and health professional students human anatomy and human dissection for close to a decade. I have taught at multiple institutions, across many different programs (MD, DO, PT, PA, etc...) and seen many things. I have dissected at the Plastinarium (for the Body World's Museum) during my externship in my masters program - it is an awesome place. I even taught some histology, embryology & other subjects along the way, but who cares about that?!

What do you mean human dissection...

Human Dissection is the process of dissecting real human bodies often called "cadavers" who we (as anatomists) refer to as "donors".
It is the coolest, most amazing experience I believe a person can ever have. It is truly a gift and it is literally a gift because all the bodies that are dissected at medical institutions are donated by choice. The person who donates and the families of that person are all involved in the donation process, which is a formal, legal process to donate their body to science. If you are curious about the donation process for human dissection and want more information check out the Anatomy Gifts Registry. They have all the info.

How and why did you start doing this?

I have learned more in the human anatomy lab than anywhere else on earth. It's where I discovered the "Glitoris Gap" originally. There was a specific day in the dissection lab when a discussion between a colleague and I unearthed the universal nature of this problem.

When no one...and I mean no one can find the clitoris in lab... there is something wrong. When it doesn't matter what age, gender, sex or [insert demographic here] the person is...When they still don't know where to look, or what they are even looking for...there is a deeper problem at work.

I intend to solve that problem... one Glitoris at a time.

✨ Let's create a culture without shame around a human body part that ~50% of the population walk around with everyday.

✨ Let's remove misinformation from our vocabulary and replace it with real facts, acknowledging what we do not yet know and understand due to a lack of investigation.

✨ Let's do it together because we all deserve to understand our bodies.
